Satya paints a vision of the potential opportunities created by technology; present & future. Satya consistently uses two (or three) broad themes: Soul, Culture, & Empathy with Technology as the bedrock to explore each dimension in his book. One read is not sufficient to appreciate all the dimensions that Satya traverses in Hit Refresh.

When preparing for a lecture on Business Development - Innovative Strategies to young students in Thailand; I had to research the Millennials Generation and their impact. Two things stood out: (1) era of instant gratification, and (2) the concept of telling & selling to build relationships. I come from a traditional (or old way, as they say, it) school. Most of my selling days – including now - were about building & nurturing relationships, typically, over a medium- to long- periods of time. Some of these would yield results (read sales) and few would not. Generally, irrespective of the outcome, unless the contact wanted not to; the relationship remained (warm or hot). Don't forget the Salesperson-101 What happens when you forget Salesperson-101. A business card (sometimes referred to as the calling card) is the salesperson-101. It should always be on a salesperson. This article recollects an incident when I was not carrying my business card on me. Always carry your business card on you! As a sales manager and now as a business head, I tend to preach this Salesperson-101 to everyone who is interested. Everyone in sales, pre-sales, any client-facing role, or an entrepreneur has heard or read about the Salesperson-101 in their journies. There are so many theories, articles, anecdotes, and success stories attributed to this Basics-101 concept. Yet, during my visit to the Gym today, I did not have my business card on me.
